cybersoul: No Dursleys.

Well, just found out that there are not goig nto be any scenes with the Dursleys in GoF. WTF?
Commets anyone?

Well, first of all, thank you for posting.

I can see why they'd take that scene out, even though it'd be pretty funny for the Dursleys to meet the Weasely's for the first time. But, alas, I don't think it would be necessary for the plot. I'm sure they'll mention something about it in the dialogue. Unless, they don't explain anything like they did in PoA. Don't get me wrong. I liked PoA, but still.

At least my icon explains it.

I love your icon, it's fantastic. I don't think the Dursleys are central, but it's a nice touch in the books. It gets very dark from that point onwards, so it's kind of like the calm before the storm. If you can call it calm.

Calm....the Dursleys? Ha. More like.. obsessive people with severe ....er... stupidity of Dudley problems.

I know lol. What I meant is that the seriousness of the situation has not been fully realised. There are oddments of humour in these passages.

Yeah. A Peck of Owls. That was pretty funny. ... What were we talking about?

i loved poa, but the durseleys are major part of the entire story. I'm not talking abot Gof in particular, but the whole seven years. at least thats what i got when i read OotP

molypoly_hat: Wow -- What a cut from the movie!!

I can't believe it -- oh well, i suppose that cuts a few minutes from the however long movie. I suppose it was nessercery, however funny the scene. I suppose it's okay, i guess. It's afew minutes of people lives put to better use, instead of sitting down doing nothing but watch watch watch.

(Anonymous): No Dursley's in HP GOF

That makes no since what so ever since they are in the beginning of the book! That was going to be a really funny scene. The only reason that I can thing of is that the enlarging tongue is just unable to be used as a special effect and they can't do it, but who knows why? You would have to ask the producer. Hey did you know that Daniel's dad (Matt) is one of the executive producters? hmpt...

I would rather have to sit through a three hour and some movie then not see that funny scene...the only reason that may be is the budgit. :(
